Peek-a-boo Boudoir by Sarah Chatham

I found this website the other day and so an amazing photographer. What I really like about this photographer is that her aims is to help the “normal” woman to feel beautifully amazing. There is a lots of obvious touchup but nothing exaggerate.

She receive her client with a glass of champagne in her high class manfree studio. She have a large lingeries wardrobe, shoes and a collection of prop and furniture. Her staff include makeup artist and hairdresser.

I admire her work and passion. The final result photographic but also for her client self confidence is a big deal!

His website

His blog

I just discover this artist from the Digital Camera World Magazine and instantly felt in love with his work. Mikko is a self taught photographer / graphic designer. He is specialized in landscape but I also saw different kind such nature and people on his blog.

I love the mystery behind his photographs. The game of mist and light are splendid. I’m wonder if he used the zone system for some of his shot or it is only digital manipulation. I’ll ask him !

Here are few of my favorite photograph from his gallery

Damn, I writing this reference while I’m still under the influence of this 17 yrs old artist !!!! The shock is intense !!!! I don’t know where to start…

Her artwork is simply wonderful, her skill behind the camera, in front the camera AND in front of the computer are absolutely phenomenal. The originality and versatility is a real pleasure to look at.

Cristina is specialized in self-portait some of her photographs remind me the work of Steve McCurry, The Afghan girl. While other looks more like Cindy Sherman, Ruven Afanador or Manuel Brule.

The final product left me out of word ! You must check this out here.

Here are only few of her photographs among an extraordinary collection.

I found this photographer while looking for fashion portrait of plus size model. She also create a guide for girls with curves wich can be seen here, here and here. The great thing about her and that is so different from many other photographer is that she start from the base with a great posing instead to relay on photoshop only. Sue keep a blog full of tricks, tips and tutorial that are very useful.

I like her finish product it is nice mix of high fashion and contemporary.

Sue is base in Australia, she has won many award since she start her carrier 23 years ago.

The zone system

I really like the manipulation behind this techniques, it really reach my personality. It can be quite easy to achieveda similar result with photoshop. But it is true art to do it with multiple exposure as the did in the old time. The zone system is a method using multiple exposure to get the image the way we imagine it. This process really captivate me since I have done some research about famous photographers Ansel Adams and Fred Archer.

Unfortunately I do not have the equipments to try it as it used to be done but recently I have found a technique that I really want to try, the polaroid transfert. I think it could be nice to combine both technique. Hummm I must try !!!
